What is the most important thing i need to get after PoC is positive, before/after with/without getting suzanne? With or without indiebio?
Is it Funding? Path to future rounds? A dedicated network? What do I need? Where do i look? What do I do?
If the ultimate goal to make everyone adopt the platform, we can try to backtrack what we need. we need to have a good platform. at least a minimum viable platform. we need to hire people when things are not automated yet. to make things more automated, or make the half automated pipeline at least capable of proving reproducibility is real at production grade. and to do that i need money to scale the manufacturing, from a runway that should not be forever relying on my father, but something private, third-party, into the actual company bank account. to even have the production grade pipeline to be sold and built, i need that cofounder, to have the cofounder i need at least the PoC, but the other part of that is accessing (cold or warm) the market i care about, and ofc, runway, and pathway to scale runway.
So a bunch of things:
- cofounder
- capital runway
- access to customers
third one is hard but impossible to get myself because i dont have enough credentials.
second one needs to be chased, but there are many opportunities that are not just sosv sf/ny or critical. to list the ones that i haven't tried yet: there's petri, age1, 50 years, amplify partners, yc, nucleate. nick cullen originally told me that accelerators are far better than direct VCs, but sosv sf/ny is one of the only very good options that can also help with capital, and access to customers. so that path we still need to chase. we need to chase with a clear mind because it is too good to give up right now because a follow up is not provided. look at what steve jobs has done. right now it is tuesday. and right now there's no PoC. i guess... even if they don't respond right now and i need to wait for the PoC, i guess I wait for the PoC. to wait for the PoC, i need to wait for Sun's reply about logistics on how/who would buying the equipments of the staining, and ig whether he or i pay for the aspects/whole ground truth collection.
And cofounder is downstream of PoC. Suzanne is first, if not, we try someone else of that standard/level.
If PoC is good, that will boost my confidence as well. and i will boost my mental runway. and I shall chase IndieBio. it is natural to continue talking to Phil and Mohan in email, with greater confidence, and more data, and hopefully with info about team establishment, and better, holistic narrative preparation to tell them here is the direction forward, on all fronts. technical and business. They should naturally respond if i push for a response with seriousness, with more strcuture. but right now, there is still uncertanity. but not enough data and it also doesn't make much sense for them to forget about me because they did give instructions about next steps after the call i had with them. them not responding is their fault, and they should know, perhaps if i follow up again sometime soon.
Steve jobs, with wozniak, mass reached out for a lot of potential investors only after Apple I is made. not before. before you can only get internship opportunities. after PoC you can talk all around that leverage. even if it's technical. becuase you are telling ppl you have 1/2 of what you want to build toward. the other 1/2 would be business. and that needs capital and network and relationships, that these accelerators should be responsible to unlock. not that they are mandatory and i need to rely on them. but responsible in the sense that they exist for that very purpose.
so ig i should relax, and check my inbox once a day. and not panick. if i have to go back home, and return, so be it. if i have to stay any longer here, i will bring my xbox and play elden ring, and then relax. and just wait. everything is in motion. im so close. why am i telling myself to give up at the 90% mark of the PoC. even if PoC fails, at least i know no one can solve reproducibility and that people won't adopt this. i either stay to figure things out, maybe go to China over the summer to collab with a lab to do so again with larger scale to build another PoC, or rest and go to HK to see Dan, or go to Cambridge to see Steven, or plan a trip (idk with who) to Northwest Europe (iceland). If i win, I continue strive as I have discussed above.
